JETSTREAM 4100
The escalating development costs of the Jetstream Transport resulted in the financial demise of the long etablished Handley Page company, and the design was taken over by Scottish Aviation. Scottish Aviation later became part of British Aerospace, and the Jetstream saw initial service with the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy. With a low operational cost threshold and a capacity of up to 15 passengers depending upon configuration, it was later utilized by civil airlines as a feeder aircraft. A number were converted and re-engined by Riley Aircraft in California.
